Whats happend since Thursday the 19th of July 2009? I went to Pukkelpop, I worked loads, I had a birthday, worked some more, skated, got dumped, skated,battled the elements, enjoyed christmas & the new year and worked a little bit more. So thats about it. But then I realised that I still have this and wanted to start updating again. I hope you dont mind. So I havnt done any cuts recently, thats somthing thats going to have to change.Ive been caught up so much in work that I havnt had the chance to get out and be as creative as ive wanted to be. But its the new year and im trying to put more effort into everything I do. So expect some stuff soon.

Now down to the important stuff. Film trailers. If theres one film coming out this year that im looking forward to, its this:

So I finally saw Inception last night and it didn't disappoint. It really is an incredible piece of film making. Quite hard to follow at points, but all in all a great Film and a must see.

I came back from camping yesterday, I went to stay few a few days in Weymouth, right on the coast. We went out onto this island called Portland where the views were amazing, I took some photos then edited them on my phone.

Sorry for the lack of updates, like you ive been enjoying this weather, but I have buckled down recently and got some work done, I did some work for "Essentials" magazine. Its another one of these

The magazine is running a campaign to try and find 10 "regular" women to shoot and have a feature about in their october issue, the whole campaign to is to celebrate real normal women. We shot 30 finalists who entered being interviewed by the editors who would narrow it down to the final 10,aswell as shooting interviews with the staff, it seemed as though all the finalists being interviewed all had tragic stories about getting out of an abusive relationship, or have managed to start up a business themselves from scratch or somthing equally as impressive. Im sure it was just a coincidene though. Either way some of what we shot will be being aired on gmtv at some point in the near future which im stoked about.

After Documenting the whole week, 3 different edits later the Historics job is finally over, myself and lee perkins took on a large job doing all the video work for brand new classic car auction company "Historics", this promo we cut in particular will be used on the classic car magazine website. The promo is kind of cheesy.. but the clients loved it.

Windsor skatepark.

Windsor skatepark has always held a place in my heart- I guess its because its where I met most of my best friends to date. So it felt good to give somthing back to the scene and organise a jam to celebrate it finally getting its well deserved concrete T-block. Heres somthing I whipped up over the weekend. So I started a new job yesterday documenting a classic car auction over at Brooklands museam with Lee that spans over the next week and a half shooting everything from the marquees being put up to the auction being held next week. All to be put into a 15 minute edit to be shown at the auction itself.

Last night I also helped polish off the Instyle magazine shoot that we've been working on, the shoot ended at Harvey Nichols where Instyle held a brand testing evening which involved Hundreds of girls testing out different make up and hair products and leaving at the end of the night with a goody bag. Im really looking forward to how the brand video turns out.

Last Thursday and Friday I was up in town helping out on a shoot for Instyle magazine with my boss and other assistant Arran. Instyle magazine wanted a short video to show to potential advertisers to try and convince them to spend out to get adverts in Instyle magazine. So we had appointments all over town to different brands head quarters and shops including Loreal and Hugo Boss where we had a short interview with high up members of staff promoting and praising Instyle magazine for its excellent content each month. We also interviewed numerous members of staff from Instyle to get their take on Instyle.

I wont be editing this piece, but I will try and get it up on here once its finished.

Theres been a serious lack of updates recently, due to the fact that I havnt been working much at the moment, but here is the final cut of the Elephant Parade edit that I worked on last week. there currently around 250 fibreglass elephants dotted around town right now. A shed load of artists were asked to paint them anyway they want, so we went up to green park to shoot a short edit for a graffiti artist ( can't say his name funnily enough) who had painted two for a general public to enjoy. One of them is in the park whilst the other one is situated opposite st. Pauls. Being a graffiti artist the guy thought it would be a awesome idea to leave it blank so people can design it themselves then send the guy a picture of what they had done so it can be put in a book he's currently putting together. Nice. If your in town soon, go check them out, they are there till the end of june!

Over this weekend I have been putting together 4 short web edits for NOW magazine. The edits consist of the pop duo Mini Viva getting numerous hair styles fit for festivals this summer. Each hair style has a 3 step guide of how to achieve the styles for when you are at festivals this summer. The footage was shot on Sams 7D and looked fresh.

So I finally got hold of the most recent Tegan & Sara album today named sainthood which im really happy with. Ever since Ive heard the sister duo I was instantly captivated by their amazing voices and catchy songs and this album definatly does not disapoint. The first single called Hell is amazing, the video is also really well made.

Yesterday we ventured right out over to the other side of our lovely county (real surrey) to celebrate jake tilburys birthday where he was having a massive party in his garden, apart from the bonfire, live music, free food, smoker friendly huts, tents already pitched up for those who didnt bring any, there was also skate videos being projected up on the side of his garage. This guy knows how to throw a party.

Ive been skating Windsor skatepark since it was built however long ago, but the one thing it has always lacked is a nice concrete block. Finally this is all about to change!To celebrate the opening day of our long awaited concrete T block at Windsor skatepark, myself and Jake have organised a banging Jam with some amazing prizes, check the flyer out below!

The new Endemic skate shop T-shirts I designed are now printed up and ready to buy directly from the shop.Endemic skate shop is an amazing independent skate shop all the way up in huddersfield, west Yorkshire. Ive known Andy the owner for a good few years now, all the way back from my TWA days, and the shop has always seemed to keep the scene up there steady, strong and safe from the clutches of the corporate chain shops that are still ruining the UK skate scene to this day. The anchor design represents this.

As skaters we need to protect these shops, and ensure that they dont go out of business like some ill fated independent shops have done in the past. I found out that Andy the owner is about to become a proud parent, so looking for a new pair of skate shoes? Endemic is an awesome skate shop and im sure they will have what you are after and offer an amazing delivery service! So go help out so he can afford nappys for his baby!

This is a poem my mum found in one of my Nans cupboards whilst they were cleaning out some of her stuff the other day. It written by her uncle whilst he was in the trenches in world war one, who sadly lost his life whilst he was there.

The last week has been pretty crazy to say the least, kicking off last wednesday where I did Three days shooting for the BBC lee nelsons well good show playing the character "Tugger" in One of simons scetches "Faliraki nights" where a shameless holiday rep takes us out on holiday and shows us the time of our lives. The locations were mainly in the docklands but also around Watford, this was a really amazing experiance for me, I usually belong behind the camera not in front so it was good to switch it all up abit ,smash some bottles over my head, and generally go crazy for three days, the show should be aired around June, heres so photos from the shoot:

Straight after this I packed my bags for a weekend away with 17 of my best friends down to Cornwall to skate Truro plaza for two dates. After we all went out on the Saturday night only the elite few could manage to skate the next day. It was an amazing trip, and Im so happy I went along even though I was so exausted from all the filming. You will never meet a group of people like my friends.

Good friends of mine Ursa Major have finally started to show off theyre melodic hardcore to growing crowds and im fully stoked on this. Ive known these guys for a long time now and the music they are producing now in my eyes, is amazing, theyre hard workers and love doing what they do.

The other day I got a phonecall from the assistant director of the "Lee Nelsons well good show" thats going to be on BBC 3 soon, one of my friends Ben showed her a picture of me, and she decided that I would be perfect to play the role of the Character "Tugger" on the scetch show. I dont really know what to expect, and im still awaiting the script but I do know that im going to be pretending im in Faliraki, off my face smashing up stuff. Its 3 days shooting on set then I go straight down to Truro the day after. Read more about it HERE

Last week myself and my good friend John payed a visit to the nice guys at Lovenskate. For those of you who dont know, lovenskate is a skater owned and operated screen printing studio in Bethnal Green, London. I always enjoy my visits there, and I love the story behind the company. I created a short promotional edit with a brief overview of the companies aswell as an overview to how garments are actually printed. I will also be taking this along with me to my university interview, Enjoy.
